Digital Radiographs
Children's Dentistry uses digital radiography to reduce radiation
exposure and to provide the best available diagnostic imaging.
Instead of a bulky sensor, we use small, light weight phosphate
films that are the same size but more flexible and comfortable than
conventional analogue films. We also use collimators on every tube
head to further reduce the radiation. Collimators eliminate
scatter radiation so that only the small area, the size of the film,
is exposed. In addition, every child wears a lead apron during the
procedure. |
